Stephen completed a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Appalachian State University in 1999 and a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance from East Carolina University in 2009. He conducts many local ensembles including the Greenville Community Pops Chorus and he is the music director at the Unitarian Universalist congregation. He and his wife Erin own Love Joy Music where they teach Music Together classes for children from birth to five years old, Rhythm Kids classes for 5-8 year olds, and Generations classes for adult learners. Both Stephen and Erin are professional musicians who perform in the area all while raising their son Ronan and new daughter Fiona.
